In this comic we dive deep into an underground aquifer in Western Australia to meet stygofauna – microscopic prawnlike animals – in order to learn more about life within their dark, wet ecosystem. We ask them what they can do for us, and whether we should care about elements of the natural environment that have no discernible use to us at all?
This comic was presented as a live reading at Read To Me, as part of Inner West Library’s Comic-conversation, and again at Dulwich High School of Visual Arts and Design.
